Collaborative Research: New Methods for Measuring, Evaluating and Predicting the Safety Impact of Road Infrastructure Systems on Driver Behavior.

This National Science Foundation (NSF) Project ended in 2014. The investigators (included the lead principal investigator – Prof. Hamdar) study the impact of roadway infrastructure on driver behavior and its implications on vehicle-to-vehicle interactions as well as on assessing macroscopic transportation network performance. The project was conducted in collaboration with Louisiana State University (LSU) and California Polytechnic State University – San Luis Obispo (Cal Poly).
