One Ph.D. position open

The George Washington University’s Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering currently has one open Ph.D. position in the area of transportation engineering. Interested applicants should have an engineering educational background with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil engineering or related engineering fields. Experience in traffic/transportation science is preferred.

The Ph.D. applicant is expected to have excellent programming skills (preferably C++, JAVA, and Python) as his/her research tasks will include traffic/network modeling, vehicular/pedestrian dynamics animation and data collection, mining and visualization. Knowledge in vehicle control and instrumentation/sensing is desired.
