This research focuses on crowd dynamics and the methods used to detect and avoid critical density build-up, especially during panic situations. Additional work is designated to detect the entry and exit volumes in pedestrian facilities and estimate the corresponding travel times. This research is currently funded by the the George Washington University (GWU) University Facilitating Funds.
