Sustainability in Transportation Systems
This research work aims at creating a “sustainable” transportation network with focus on safety, inter-modality (pedestrians, transit/public modes, non-motorized and motorized vehicles), and power consumption/emission. With special interest in the most vulnerable travelers in urban environments (i.e. bicyclists and pedestrians), this work is partially funded by the District of Columbia Department of Transportation (DDOT).
