Professor Hamdar has been awarded a 7 million dollar grant in partnership with researchers at Texas A&M and UC-Davis. The grant was one of eight awarded as a part of the Automated Driving Systems (ADS) Demonstration program. The proposal can be found on the U.S. Department of Transportation's website.
